A fast paced race in the Desert Plains of Rajasthan!

The race starts in Jaipur and takes racers through the scenic state of Rajasthan. Relatively flat course makes for a fast paced race with an added challenge of the desert conditions.

With the start line against the backdrop of the iconic City Palace in Jaipur, ride through the rugged terrain in the Thar desert of western India with a backdrop of sand dunes and camels, majestic palaces and forts, and the grand Aravalli mountain range.

The Dunes Ultra Race Solo Self-Supported is a RAAM Qualifier! With no support crew and vehicle requirement, and minimal support from the organisers, enjoy the pristine route of the Ultra Spice on your own steam!

The Dunes Ultra 675km Solo Self-Supported race is a single stage non-stop self-supported race. Racers will get access to drop-bags at the turn-around control in Bikaner. Categories and timings are as below.

675km RAAM Style Relay

In the relay race, relay teams members take turns to ride the entire distance between their team. Teams have the freedom to decide how often you swap riders, how long each member rides and how much distance each covers. Teams can comprise of 2, 3, or 4 team members. While racers do the job of riding the entire distance, the crew support them for all their needs. This is really a fun event, to enjoy the route, challenge yourself, while you share the distance with your buddies. Categories and Timings are based on Team Age and Gender. Team Age is the average racing age of all Team members (total number of years divided by 2, 3, or 4 depending on team size). Racing Age is the age each Racer will turn during the calendar year of the race (year of race minus birth year). For a team to be classified as a mixed team, the team must have at least one female team member.

1340km Solo Self-Supported

The Dunes Ultra Race Solo Self-Supported is a RAAM Qualifier! With no support crew and vehicle requirement, and minimal support from the organisers, enjoy the pristine route of the Dunes Ultra Race on your own steam!

The Dunes Ultra Race 1340km Solo Self-Supported race is a two stage self-supported race. Racers will get access to drop-bags at the control in Bikaner and at the turn-around control in Jaisalmer.

The Self-Supported format is derived from bike-packing wherein racers are self-sufficient for their needs during the race. Racers can ride along with other self-supported racers. At the Dunes Ultra Race 1340 Self-Supported, the race is divided into two stages. After a mass start at Stage 1, racers get a rest break at end of the stage. Stage 2 will have another mass start from where racers will race non-stop to the finish. Drop bag facility will be available and racers can access drop bags at multiple locations. Accommodation will be available at end of stage 1 in Jaisalmer. The cumulative time (Sum of Stage 1 and Stage 2 finish times) will determine the positions on podium.
